OMC-137 Advanced Wind Display

  • The OMC-137 advanced digital wind display unit is specially designed for easy read out of wind information for aeronautical purposes and will meet all ICAO recommendations. The wind direction is indicated within a double LED circle for average direction and variation. Inside this circle a three-digit display indicates the wind speed. A second display provides maximum or minimum wind information. On the left of the display average wind direction and the maximum, minimum and average wind speed are shown.

Wind information can be displayed in m/s, knots, mph, km/h or Beaufort; users can also choose the averaging interval, which can be set at 2 or 10 mins. A visual display is available for when the average direction is above 60 degrees, when the average speed is above 10 knt and if a sensor is malfunctioning. The unit can read data from four wind sensors; the sensor location is indicated by means of the runway heading.
